According to his arrest report, the victim was picking up Ronald Wilkey in her vehicle on March 12, but after he entered her car, he accused her of cheating on him and pulled out a dagger-like knife before stabbing her 15 times in the face, neck, arms and legs.

The victim was transported to Broward Health Medical Center after the attack. Her current condition has not been released, although authorities confirmed she survived the attack.

According to the report, Wilkey fled the scene and removed his “probationary monitor.”

He was taken into custody Monday afternoon by BSO VIPER detectives.

Detectives said he was first taken to Holy Cross Hospital to be medically cleared before being transported to the BSO Public Safety Building for questioning.

The report states that Wilkey provided detectives with a confession, however his full statement was redacted from the publicly released report.

As of Friday afternoon, Wilkey was being held at the Broward County Main Jail without bond.
