According to the suspect’s arrest report, the victim told police that he went with his son, Christopher Justo Castro-Reynoso, 42, of Miami, to the store across from the Dadeland Mall, but his son became angry when he wouldn’t buy him what he wanted from the store.

Miami-Dade police said the victim was driving toward the exit of the parking lot when his son spat on him and kicked him in the face, leaving a cut under the victim’s right eye.

Police said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded to the scene, but the victim wasn’t hospitalized.

Castro-Reynoso was arrested on a charge of battery on a person 65 or older.

As of Wednesday afternoon, he remained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where his bond had yet to be set.
