STOCK ISLAND, Fla. ā A 32-year-old man from Key West was arrested Wednesday on Stock Island after he stole a vehicle, authorities said.
According to the Monroe County Sheriffās Office, deputies were called to the Dolphin Deli just after 6:30 a.m. regarding a man acting erratically.

When deputies arrived, they said they spotted Justin Thomas Stalcup trying to climb down the roof via a ladder, but he fell.
Deputies said he then ran north on Maloney Avenue.
According to MCSO spokesman Adam Linhardt, Stalcup was detained a short time later and āappeared to be in an erratic state of mind.ā
He said an unoccupied vehicle was found parked nearby with the engine running and the music āblaring loudly,ā which was later discovered to be a vehicle that had been stolen by Stalcup.
According to Linhardt, surveillance video proved that Stalcup had stolen the car.
He was arrested on charges of burglary during a state of emergency, criminal mischief with damage to property, trespassing, resisting arrest and grand theft of a motor vehicle.
