CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Memorial Hospital West kicked off the new year with a heartwarming milestone as its first baby of 2025 was born shortly after midnight.
Hospital staff said baby A’nali was born at 12:24 a.m., ushering in the new year with fresh hope for a healthy and prosperous future.
Weighing 7 pounds, 6 ounces and measuring 20 1/2 inches long, staff members said both mother and baby are healthy and doing well.
Baptist Health South Florida also celebrated the arrival of its first baby of the New Year early Wednesday morning.
Hospital staff said Aitana, a healthy baby girl, arrived at 12:14 a.m. at Baptist Health Baptist Hospital, weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and measured 20 inches long.

Kallie Star Allwood, a healthy baby girl, was born at 6:07 a.m. on New Year’s Day at HCA Florida University Hospital, weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces. Both Kallie and her mother, Jessica Isaac, are healthy and doing well.
Kallie, Jessica’s third child, arrived ahead of her original due date of Jan. 10. The family is thrilled to have chosen HCA Florida University Hospital for the special occasion.
“It was a fast delivery. I delivered in under 30 minutes from the time I walked in the hospital,” Jessica said. “Kallie decided to come early on New Year’s Day.”
Hospital staff celebrated the milestone, with CEO Madeline Nava offering her congratulations.
“We are so happy to welcome baby Kallie as the first baby born at our hospital in 2025,” Nava said. “Congratulations to the parents, and we look forward to supporting them on their journey of parenthood.”
