Detectives believe surveillance video shows Dasianay Little, who is not a student at FMU, pulled out a gun from her book bag and fired it once toward the sky on Jan. 12. No one was injured.

According to a police arrest report, witnesses told police officers Little, of Miami Gardens, reached for the gun after she and another woman were fighting outside of Robinson Hall, an area FMU assigned to “female-identifying students.

According to the arrest report, after a crowd dispersed, Little held the gun while she chased the woman who was able to get away from her in a car. Detectives found the book bag in an FMU dorm room, but not the gun, police said.

Records show Miami Gardens police officers arrested her at 11 a.m., on Saturday, and correctional deputies booked her shortly after 1:30 p.m., at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Court records show prosecutors filed a case against Little on Sunday for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and exhibiting a weapon on school property.

A judge ordered Little to stay away from the victim and set her bond at $10,000. Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Carlos Lopez is set to preside over the case.
