Humane Society of Broward seeks ‘furever’ home for Reese’s, other furry friends

Humane Society of Broward seeks furever home for Reeses, other furry friends The Humane Society of Broward County is seeking a furever home for Reeses, other furry friends.

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Humane Society of Broward County is introducing pets just in time for Halloween, including a playful dog named Reese’s and a shy but affectionate cat named Angel.

Reese’s, a 1-year-old shepherd mix weighing about 39 pounds, is described as sweet, animated, and good with children, dogs, and, with a slow introduction, cats.

“She’s heartworm negative and just a fabulous dog,” said HSBC’s Cherie Wachter.

Wachter said Reese’s enjoys toys, barking to alert her owners of visitors, and trips to the dog park. Her medium size makes her suitable for homes with weight restrictions, and she requires plenty of exercise.

Also up for adoption is Angel, a lap cat who was surrendered to the shelter after his owner passed away.

Angel is shy at first but warms up quickly, enjoys being petted, and is good with children, dogs, and other cats.

Wachter noted that, with Reese’s and Angel both adaptable with other animals, a family could consider adopting them together.

The Broward Humane Society continues to encourage the public to visit and meet these pets, along with many others available for adoption.
