Sky 10 was above the scene in the 2100 block of Ali Baba Avenue around 9:30 a.m. as smoke was still coming from the building.

A large hole could be seen in the roof.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials confirmed that the fire was reported at 8:17 a.m. and prompted more than 25 MDFR units to respond.

When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the building.

“The second story of the structure was compromised, shifting firefighting efforts to a defensive attack, with units applying water from the exterior,” MDFR told Local 10 News in an email. “This included utilizing ladder trucks to attack the fire from above.”

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains unclear at this time.
