Broward deputy shoots dog in Lauderdale Lakes

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. — A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy shot a dog on Tuesday in Lauderdale Lakes.

The dog had attacked a man when the deputy responded to the area of Northwest 35 Avenue and 39 Street, according to BSO.

After the man suffered several bites, the dog also tried to attack the BSO deputy, who was forced to fire, according to BSO.

Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue personnel responded to help the man injured, Broward County Animal Care took the dog, and a BSO internal affairs unit detective was set to investigate the shooting, according to BSO.
