MIAMI — Miami police arrested three men accused of a home invasion robbery in the city’s Little Havana neighborhood.
Officers arrested Augustin Hernandez, 46, Rogelio Espina, 54, and Yoamil Napoles, 50, on Monday.
Arrest forms say the three men forced their way into a home in the 3100 block of Southwest Eighth Street at around 10 p.m. Monday.
The report states, “The defendants then coerced the victim to open a black safe, which contained approximately $400 in cash.”
Detectives say a man and a woman were restrained with zip ties and one of them was forced to open a safe. They suffered minor injuries.
Police said the home was ransacked and when officers arrived, the suspects were still inside.
The men appeared in court with the help of a Spanish translator.
Two of the three suspects are listed as homeless and the other is unemployed.
The men were ordered not to have contact with the two victims.
Local 10 News spoke with one of the victims. She says she is terrified and wants the men to go to prison.
The suspects are facing charges including battery, home invasion robbery and kidnapping.
