Lady and Tramp are 9-year-old Shih Tzu siblings now available for adoption through the HSBC.

Local 10 spoke with HSBC’s Cherie Wachter, who says the dogs are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

She said the dogs came from a family facing hardship after the husband passed away and the wife entered hospice care. Lady and Tramp are described as well-behaved, affectionate and gentle, with Lady known for giving kisses and Tramp rarely straying far from her side.

Wachter said both dogs have received veterinary care, including recent dental work, and will need regular grooming moving forward. Shelter officials say the pair is ready to go home immediately and is expected to be adopted quickly.

The shelter is located on Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale, just west of Interstate 95 and opens at 11 a.m. Those interested are encouraged to complete a pre-adoption application online before visiting.
