The shooting happened just after 2 p.m. in the area of Northwest 75th Street and 21st Avenue.

First responders said they took the three victims to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

Deputies were seen surrounding a Tesla in the street.

A witness, who identified himself as Jake, described what he saw and heard.

“I was just working from home. I was actually on a Zoom call and I probably heard like 10-plus gunshots and then looked out my window and there was some dude running behind a house with a gun, looked like a Glock or something,” he said. “Then he kind of took off in a sprint and, like, hopped over towards my neighbor’s house, and then probably, like five, 10, minutes later, I just saw him getting arrested on the corner of the street.”

Nearby Lillie C. Evans Elementary School, at 1895 NW 75th St., was put on “a precautionary lockdown,” school officials said. The lockdown was lifted just before 3:30 p.m.

The victims’ conditions weren’t immediately clear as of around 3 p.m. Thursday.
