MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities responded Saturday to reports of a “possible boat explosion” near the Haulover Sandbar off Haulover Beach, prompting a large emergency medical response.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials confirmed that first responders were dispatched to a medical call following reports of a possible explosion.
Officials said “multiple patients” were being assessed and treated at the scene, with some expected to be transported to nearby hospitals.
