HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Severe weather moved through South Florida on Monday afternoon.
Several flood-prone areas of Broward County found themselves under water.
That included roadways in Hollywood, making the afternoon commute even more difficult than usual.
Local 10 cameras were rolling near Dewey Street and South 14th Avenue, where Hollywood officials were out to survey the water levels.
Rich Digirolamo and his four-legged pal Jessie were out for a stroll after the rain passed through the area.
“The flooding that I have now, I never had when I first moved here,” he said.
Digirolamo said it’s not uncommon for the South Lakes area to flood, a recurring issue that’s getting old for many residents. .
“What are we gonna do,” he said. “You don’t see a hell of a lot of changes.”
