HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Hollywood Fire Rescue crews responded Wednesday morning to a fire at a mixed-use building in Hollywood that damaged a second-floor apartment, officials said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 5900 block of Funston Street after receiving reports of an outside fire.
When crews arrived, they found a working fire involving a second-floor apartment in a building that contains both residential and commercial spaces, according to Hollywood Fire Rescue officials.
Officials said the apartment was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
Florida Power & Light was requested to respond to the scene, and a Hollywood Fire Rescue fire inspector was dispatched to investigate.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
