Several lanes of Florida’s Turnpike were shut down Sunday morning due to a vehicle fire.

It was located near the Griffin Road exit in Broward County, just south of Interstate 595.

Southbound traffic appeared to be merged down to one lane while first responders worked the scene.

Earlier in the morning, rescue crews were observed working to extinguish the blaze.

Authorities have not provided any information on the circumstances that led up to the fire, or if anyone was injured.
