POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Surveillance video from a gas station captured a violent confrontation between a man and woman before another man opened fire Tuesday afternoon.

The incident was reported at the Orion gas station, located at 101 E. Atlantic Blvd.

The video shows a woman sitting inside a white Toyota SUV as a man approaches the vehicle and attempts to open both side doors.

At one point, the man slams on a window before the woman opens a door and then closes it again.

The man continues opening the door and eventually pulls the woman out of the SUV. Video shows him shoving and hitting her as she fights back.

The woman manages to get back inside the vehicle, but the man repeatedly opens the door and pulls her back out. As she fights him off, he punches her again.

The confrontation continues until the woman is eventually able to get back inside and lock the door.

But the violence did not end there.

After the fight, the man is seen walking inside the gas station.

When he comes back outside and walks in front of the same SUV, a man sitting in the driver’s seat appears to be waiting for him.

The driver gets out of the SUV and appears to begin pumping gas before firing shots from behind the vehicle’s door.

Nino, who was inside a food truck parked at the gas station, described hearing the gunfire.

“Pow, pow, pow,” he recalled.

Nino said he heard five to six shots.

After the gunfire erupts, surveillance video shows the man in the tank top running away. The video appears to show that he had been struck.

The driver can then be seen waving for help from the main road before speaking with a man in a truck behind him.

Sky 10 flew over the scene just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, where deputies could be seen surrounding the gas station and yellow police tape blocked off the area.

The white Toyota SUV remained at the scene with its passenger door open.

Six evidence markers could also be seen on the ground.

Sunny, who was also with the 3-Little Charlies food truck, said he heard what sounded like four or five gunshots.

When asked whether he went outside, he responded, “I ran in the truck.”

The food truck had been parked at the gas station and plugged in to keep food warm for a funeral gathering.

Andrew Miller, with 3-Little Charlies Restaurant, said he received a call from workers at the truck alerting him to what had happened.

“We got a call from the guys in the truck,” Miller said. “They said it was a shooting behind the gas station. Everything is roped off, blocked off.”

The identities of those involved in the incident have not yet been released.
