3 women trapped in vehicles after Miami collision

Firefighters use Jaws of Life to free women from Honda Accord, Kia SUV

MIAMI – Three women had to be extricated after two vehicles collided early Wednesday morning in Miami.

The crash occurred just before 2 a.m. at Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 82nd Street.

Miami Department of Fire-Rescue Capt. Ignatius Carroll said firefighters arrived and found two women trapped in a Honda Accord and a third woman trapped in a Kia SUV.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the trapped women.

All three women, between the ages of 20 and 45, were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.

The intersection was closed for more than an hour while police investigated the crash.
