Man stabs girlfriend to death in Pompano Beach, deputies say

Herbert Wade taken into custody, faces first-degree murder charge

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A woman has died after her boyfriend stabbed her to death at a home in Pompano Beach, deputies said.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies were called Wednesday afternoon to the home at 1220 S. Cypress Road after reports of a woman seen bloody in the street.

The woman, identified as Stephanie L. Holder, 41, was taken to Broward Health North, where she was pronounced dead.

Deputies said the woman's 39-year-old boyfriend, Herbert Wade, was taken into custody. Wade faces one count of first-degree murder.

BSO spokeswoman Keyla Conception said the couple lived together at the home.
