LOMA LINDA, Calif. - Parents of a 13-year-old girl who committed suicide after severe bullying were themselves bullied days after their daughter took her own life.

Rosalie Avila hung herself on Nov. 28. After finding their daughter hanging in her bedroom, they rushed her to the hospital, but it was too late and Rosalie never covered.

"That's a vision you never want to see from your daughter in her bedroom," Charlene Avila, Rosalie's mother, said, according to KABC.

The 8th grader kept a diary and often wrote of the people who had bullied or made fun of her, calling her ugly.

In a suicide note she reportedly left behind, Rosalie wrote "Sorry, Mom and Dade. I love you."

In a cruel twist to the story, Rosalie's parents now say they are being bullied after their daughter's death.

The New York Post reports Charlene and Freddie Avila were sent a meme that said, "Hey mom, next time, don't tuck me in this, tuck me in THIS."

The words were next to a bed and an empty grave.

“For you to do that, I mean, you’re heartless … you have no compassion,” said Charlene, according to the article.

The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
