LOS ANGELES – Hours after sharing video of a brutal sidewalk attack on a random victim, Los Angeles police have caught the suspect.
Incredibly, the suspect was already in custody for attacking someone else on the same day.
KABC reports Dale Shoner, 43, was identified as the man who attacked an elderly passerby on the morning of Oct. 20.
Shoner was arrested by Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies for assaulting someone else two hours after the first attack that was caught on video.
The two law enforcement agencies were able to make the connection after the security video was released.
Shoner is being held on new charges of robbery, criminal threats and assault with a deadly weapon.
