MIAMI – Enrique Tarrio is among the plaintiffs in a civil lawsuit filed on Friday in Florida seeking $100 million in damages from the federal government for allegedly violating their constitutional rights.

President Donald Trump granted Tarrio, the former Miami-based national chair of the Proud Boys, a “full unconditional pardon” for the convictions related to Jan. 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol.

The other plaintiffs in the lawsuit are Ethan Nordean, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison; Joseph Biggs, who was sentenced to 17 years; Zachary Rehl, who was sentenced to 15 years; and Dominic Pezzola, who was sentenced to 10 years.

The plaintiffs claim they were the victims of “egregious and systemic abuse” meant “to punish and oppress political allies of President Trump, by any and all means necessary.”
