Teen extradited from New York to be charged in Florida City shooting

Christopher Walker, 15, charged in Noricia Talabert's death

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A teenager accused in the death of a Florida City teenager was booked into a Miami-Dade County jail Thursday after being arrested in New York.

Christopher Walker, 15, is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and shooting or throwing a deadly missile in the Oct.17 death of Noricia Talabert.

According to Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Robin Pinkard, three teenagers, including Talabert, 17, were sitting in a red Nissan Sentra in the area of Northwest 12th Street and Eighth Court when another car pulled up alongside them and Walker opened fire.

Pinkard said Talabert, who was driving the Sentra, sped off across a vacant lot and crashed into a large tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two victims, Deanna Clayton, 17, and Daquantay Allen, 17, were taken to a hospital in stable condition and later released.

Walker is expected to appear in Miami-Dade County court Friday. He was extradited from Brooklyn after being found with the help of U.S. marshals in December.
