HIALEAH, Fla. – Hialeah police are searching for an armed robber who carjacked an Uber driver as he was picking up a fare.
Surveillance video showed the Uber car pulling up at a customer's home near 196th Street and Northwest 87th Avenue sometime after 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Minutes later, the driver got out of the car to retrieve something from the trunk. Shortly after the driver returned the car, a man walking on the sidewalk approached the driver with a gun.
The driver got out of the car and called police after the carjacker drove away.
