FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Tina has hopefully found her forever home, Humane Society of Broward County’s Cherie Wachter confirmed.
The 2-year-old, 47-pound dog had been waiting several weeks at the shelter. A Carolina dog mix that may also have some husky, Tina was known for her striking blue eyes and gentle personality.
Wachter said Tina was easy to walk and would make a good companion for someone looking for a dog to enjoy leisurely walks with. She appeared to be house-trained and did not pull on the leash.
Tina could be nervous in the car and might have needed some time to adjust to a new family, Wachter said. She had met one family while at the shelter and did well with the children, but the family ultimately decided she was not the right fit.
The shelter also has two 6-month-old brothers, Adam and Drew, who are looking for a home together. The black kittens are described as affectionate, with Adam being more outgoing and Drew a little more reserved.
HSBC’s adoption department opens daily at 11 a.m. Potential adopters can complete a pre-adoption application through the shelter’s website before visiting.
