Vic's Picks: Sadness edition

MIAMI – No standouts today, just sadness.

Of course the Dolphins would beat the New England Patriots in dramatic fashion and then lose in embarrassing fashion to the Bills one week later.

With their season on the line and a chance to prove they're different from Dolphins teams of the past decade, Joe Philbin's team laid a very unfortunately timed stinky egg and showed us all that they are the same old Dolphins.

Offensively, they were putrid. The offensive line had been, in spite of the many disasters this season, but on Sunday they were exposed. Ryan Tannehill was sacked seven times and he got knocked out of the game for a drive after a brutal take down.

Meanwhile, Buffalo played like a team with nothing to lose. They were aggressive on both sides of the ball and were clearly the better team on Sunday.

The playoff window is closing quickly. Hopefully Tannehill's injury isn't too serious because Matt Moore looks rusty.
