Miami set to face South Carolina
MIAMI – The Miami Hurricanes will be heading to the Independence Bowl.
Miami will face South Carolina on Dec. 27 at 3:30 p.m.
The game will be broadcast on ABC and Local 10.
Miami and the Gamecocks are both 6-6. The Hurricanes lead the all-time series 8-5-2, but the teams haven't met since a 20-16 South Carolina victory in 1987.

Miami has lost its four previous bowl games. The 'Canes last victory came in a 21-20 decision against Nevada in the 2006 MPC Computers Bowl.
