Local10.com college football picks: Week 5 results

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A solid showing by Local 10 sports reporter Andrea Brody brought her into a three-way tie for first place in the Local10.com college football pick.

Brody won the week with a 10-2 record, improving her overall record to 43-14. That ties her with Local 10 sports director Will Manso and Local 10 sports reporter Clay Ferraro, both of whom were 8-4 this week.

Although the group missed out on Cincinnati's 34-23 upset against previously undefeated Miami, Brody had the signature pick of the week thanks to No. 25 Florida's 38-10 rout of third-ranked Mississippi.

Aside from Miami, Brody's only other miss was Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish fell short in a 24-22 loss at Clemson.

Local 10 meteorologist Julie Durda, who was also 8-4, is now trying to catch up to the rest of the group. She finds herself three games behind Manso, Ferraro and Brody.

Manso and Durda were both hurt by UCF, which fell to 0-5 after a 45-31 loss at Tulane. Durda's alma mater didn't do her any favors, either. She was the only one to pick Mississippi State, but the Bulldogs were on the wrong side of a 30-17 score at Texas A&M.
