Walker taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital after Thursday night crash

MIAMI – Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker, 23, died Friday, a day after his dirt bike was struck by an SUV in northwest Miami-Dade, his sister, Jennifer Lowe, told Local 10 News.

The crash was reported about 8 p.m. Thursday in the area of Northwest 75th Street and Northwest 21st Avenue.

Walker was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was initially listed critical condition after suffering head trauma.

His agent, Ronald Butler, told Local 10 News reporter Erica Rakow that Walker had undergone two surgeries.

The driver of the SUV has been identified as Donzetta Coaxum, who retired from the State Attorney's Office last March. She had worked as a trial coordinator for senior trial counsels.

Police said Walker was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash.

Meanwhile, sources told Local 10 News that investigators are looking for a member of the New England Patriots who may have witnessed the crash.
