BOCA RATON, Fla. – It turns out the Dolphins' move to release Brent Grimes this off-season was indeed made because of the many troubles with his wife, Miko.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, who was quoted by the Palm Beach Post while at the NFL owners meetings in Boca Raton, said of the roster move, "I think everybody knows what she (Miko) represented. I thought it was best that the Dolphins move on from Brent and Miko."

Brent Grimes stated this past season that he had nothing to do with what his wife said or posted on social media, but clearly the Dolphins felt differently.

Miko created locker-room drama this past season when she criticized quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

She also threatened several Dolphins beat reports and let's not forget her arrest outside of Sun Life stadium for resisting arrest.

Grimes was released just after he had been named to the Dolphins' 50th anniversary team.

The 4-time pro-bowler didn't have to wait long to find a new job once he was on the market as he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

His wife deleted her Twitter account on the same day her husband signed with Tampa.
