Davie, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins traded up in the second round of the NFL draft on Friday night to select cornerback Xavien Howard of Baylor University.
The Fins originally had the 42nd overall pick in the second round, but swapped with the Ravens who had the 38th selection, in order to move up and grab Howard.

At six-feet and 201 pounds, Howard is a large corner who can provide run support.
His size gives the Dolphins a more physical presence in the secondary.
