Miami defeats rival FSU in first game of doubleheader to claim ACC crown

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The second-ranked Miami Hurricanes men's baseball team defeated their arch rivals 8-5 in game one of their doubleheader Saturday against No. 8 Florida State to capture the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season championship.

Zack Collins hit a solo home run in the first inning and Willie Abreu hit a solo shot of his own in the second inning to put the 'Canes up early.

Bryan Garcia earned his 39th save of the season in the win.

This is the second time in three seasons that the 'Canes (43-10, 21-7) have captured the ACC regular-season title.

The Seminoles (34-19, 16-10) took the final game of the series with a 3-2 victory in extra innings.
