With the NFL's Pro Bowl moving to Orlando in 2017, Dolphins officials claim the move was made to give the league an opportunity to observe stadium operations.

However, there are reports that construction delays at what is now called New Miami Stadium forced the Dolphins hand.

WKMG in Orlando, Local 10's sister station, reports that NFL sources said the game will be moved to give more time for stadium renovations.

"A week's more of work is an eternity," a source told WKMG's sports director David Pingalore.

A Dolphins spokesperson says that stadium renovations are on schedule.
