SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers announced Sunday a five-year contract extension for forward Reilly Smith, capping an extremely busy week of signings.
Smith was the most productive team of the organization in the playoffs leading the Cats in goals (4), assists (4) and points (8) this past post-season.

He also set a franchise record with three straight multi-point playoff games.
The Smith extension comes on the heels of extensions for forward Vincent Trocheck and All-Star defenseman Aaron Ekblad.
The Panthers have been busy in free agency also signing defensemen Keith Yandle and Jason Demers, goalie James Reimer and forwards Colton Sceviour and Jonathan Marchessault.
