The top seed of the men's NCAA basketball tournament has a new benefit. Starting this season, the top team will be able to pick their site for the first two rounds , Sports Illustrated reports.
The team will pick from eight assigned cities, ESPN reports. The 2017 first- and second-round host cities are Buffalo, Milwaukee, Orlando, Salt Lake City, Greensboro(North Carolina), Indianapolis, Tulsa and Sacramento.
"Preferences would be communicated by teams in contention for the overall No. 1 seed far in advance of Selection Sunday in a process to be determined," according to an NCAA statement.
The remaining teams will still be placed by the selection committee, CBS Sports reports.
