DAVIE, Fla. – It's next man up for the Miami Dolphins.
With All-Pro center Mike Pouncey out until at the least the end of the preseason, Anthony Steen steps in to play center.
Steen, 26, is a converted guard.
The former member of the University of Alabama had never played center until he came to the Dolphins.
Head coach Adam Gase has continued to tinker with the offensive line, hoping to find the right formula to protect Ryan Tannehill.
Steen said of the transition to center, "It's been difficult at times. At guard, you're the guy sitting there looking at the center waiting for the calls. Now, you're the guy who has to make the calls yourself. It's a little more pressure."
