Gordinier suffered a knee injury Saturday during Miami's 70-3 win against Florida A&M.

The 2015 recruit was the No. 1 rated defensive end in the state of New Jersey when he signed with the Hurricanes out of high school. He moved to linebacker when he got to Miami.

Gordinier's injury is the latest blow to a linebacker corps already made thin after the dismissal of linebacker Jermaine Grace for a violation of NCAA rules.

Miami hosts Florida Atlantic next Saturday.
