Wake to be used as pass rush specialist
Defensive coordinator wants to keep veteran 'fresher'
DAVIE, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins plan to use Cameron Wake as a pass rush specialist.
Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph addressed the media on Tuesday.
Joseph said the goal was "keeping him healthy and allowing him to be a dominant pass rusher."
Joseph said limiting Wake's snaps would keep him "fresher for 60 minutes."
Wake, 34, is working his way back from a torn Achillies.
The Dolphins open the season Sunday at Seattle.
