Seminoles shoot their way into AP top 25

Florida State basketball team ranked in top 25 for first time since 2012-13

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State is one of six ranked teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference in the latest Associated Press top 25 poll released Monday.

The Seminoles (4-0) are tied with Michigan (4-0) at No. 25. It is Florida State's first appearance in the top 25 since the 2012-13 preseason poll.

Four of the six ACC schools are in the top 10. North Carolina (4-0) is fourth, but Duke (4-1) slipped to sixth after losing to then-No. 7 Kansas (2-1). The Blue Devils were the preseason No. 1 team.

Virginia (3-0) is seventh and Louisville (3-0) is 10th.

Syracuse (3-0) remains at No. 18.

The Seminoles, who have scored 100 points in each of their last two games, haven't made the NCAA tournament since winning the ACC championship in 2012.

Miami (3-0) remains just outside the top 25 with 44 votes.

Florida (3-0) received 34 votes.
