Dolphins defense banged up ahead of Christmas Eve showdown in Buffalo

Maxwell & Jenkins doubtful, Kiko Alonso questionable

DAVIE, Fla. – The (9-5) Miami Dolphins are already without their starting quarterback as they make a final push for the playoffs, but now their defense is a little beat up.

Defensive back Byron Maxwell (ankle) and linebacker Jelani Jenkins (knee/hand) are both listed as doubtful for Saturday's game in Buffalo.

Maxwell hurt his ankle during the win over the Jets and missed practice all week, however, the Dolphins indicated earlier in the week that there was a 50-50 chance that Maxwell would play against the Bills.

Several other defenders are listed as questionable including linebacker Kiko Alonso (hamstring/hand), safety Isa Abdul-Quddus (ankle), defensive back Bobby McCain (knee/hand) and defensive end Mario Williams (ankle).

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill (knee) is the only player listed as out for the Christmas Eve contest.

Matt Moore will make his second consecutive start in place of Tannehill.
