MIAMI – NASCAR brothers and Race of America teammates Kyle and Kurt Busch represented America well in the first Race of Champions on American soil, but they fell to team Germany in the final Sunday at Marlins Park.
Kurt Busch, who visited the Local 10 studio earlier in the week, had said he was looking forward to "hold serve on our home soil."
But Germany's Sebastian Vettel had other plans in the final.
Vettel was forced to race alone Sunday after his teammate Pascal Wehrlein had to withdraw because he had an accident on Saturday in the individual races of the ROC.
Racing alone did not slow down the lone German as Vettel single-handedly defeated the Busch brothers 2-0 in the final to wrap-up the two day event at Marlins Park.
Team Germany has now won a record seven ROC Nations Cup.
