Dolphins sign Cameron Wake to 2-year contract extension

Fins ink Pro-Bowler through 2018 season

DAVIE, Fla. – Thanks to a contract extension announced by the Dolphins on Saturday Cameron Wake is cashing in after putting together an amazing comeback season following a torn Achilles in 2015.

The 35-year-old defensive end gets a two-year extension through the 2018 season.

ESPN reports the deal is worth $19 million dollars with $11 million being guaranteed money.

Wake was named to the Pro Bowl in 2016 on the strength of 11.5 sacks, five forced fumbles and one interception.

It was Wake's fifth trip to the Pro Bowl.
