No exact location was announced in the report, but the game is expected to take place at Hard Rock Stadium. Marlins Park would not be an option as the Marlins are scheduled for a home game that day.

The games will be part of the 5-year-old International Champions Cup (ICC). In 2014, the finals of the ICC were played at what was then Sun Life Stadium between Manchester United and Liverpool.

Miami has not hosted an ICC game since due to construction at Hard Rock Stadium.

The report claims Barcelona will play Real Madrid in Miami, along with games vs. JuventusĀ in New York and Manchester United in Washington.
