DAVIE, Fla. ā The Miami Dolphins have signed Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons.
Miami announced the deal Friday.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dolphins signed the Pro Bowl player to a two-year contract worth $12 million.
Timmons has been an anchor for the Steelers' defense since Pittsburgh made him its first-round draft pick in 2007.

The former Florida State star won a Super Bowl with the Steelers during the 2008 season and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2014.
Timmons, 30, has 35.5 sacks, 14 forced fumbles and 12 interceptions in 10 seasons with the Steelers.
