Iguana interrupts tennis match at Miami Open

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. – An iguana crashed the Miami Open on Wednesday when it crawled its way onto a scoreboard.  

Tommy Haas, who was playing Jiri Vesely in Key Biscayne, took a selfie with the iguana as a crowd cheered.

He then the photo his Instagram account.

Crews tried to get the reptile off the scoreboard, and at one point it did run off court,  but then a plot twist – it came back onto the court and sat on another score board. 

The iguana was taken eventually off the scoreboard and the game resumed.

Haas lost the match, but got a great selfie out of it.
