CORAL GABLES, Fla. ā A former football star at The Citadel has transferred to the University of Miami and will be eligible to play this season.
Miami head coach Mark Richt said Tuesday that defensive back Dee Delaney has joined the Hurricanes as a graduate transfer.
Delaney was an All-American each of the last two seasons at the Football Championship Subdivision school. He recorded 35 tackles, six interceptions and broke up eight passes last season.
The Citadel won back-to-back Southern Conference championships with Delaney's help.
Delaney ranks second in school history with 13 career interceptions and fourth in school history with 32 passes defended.

Richt apparently isn't done looking to bolster the roster. He took to Twitter earlier this month to announce that he was still looking for a graduate transfer at running back.
