Marlins place Justin Bour on disabled list

Left ankle injury sidelines slugger

CHICAGO – Ahead of Wednesday night's game in Chicago the Marlins announced they were placing slugging first baseman Justin Bour on the 10-day disabled list with a left ankle contusion.

The move was expected after Bour was spotted in a walking boot on Monday.

Bour is tied for the National League lead with 16 home runs.

Tyler Moore was slated to start at first base in Bour's place Wednesday night against the World Series Champion Cubs.

In a coinciding move with the D-L announcement, the Fish recalled catcher Tomas Tells from Triple-A New Orleans.
