Dolphins to hold Aug. 5 scrimmage at Hard Rock Stadium

Scrimmage, parking free to public, but tickets must be requested online

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins will hold a public scrimmage next month to celebrate the return of football.

Miami's Aug. 5 practice has been moved to Hard Rock Stadium, where the team will hold a free scrimmage, the Dolphins announced Thursday.

The change to the training camp schedule will be the first opportunity for Miami fans to see the Dolphins take the field in their home stadium. The Dolphins made the playoffs last season for the first time since 2008.

Although the scrimmage and parking are free, fans must request tickets by registering online.

Training camp began Thursday and goes through Aug. 15.

The first preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons will be Aug. 10 at Hard Rock Stadium.
