MINNEAPOLIS – Three young Miami Dolphins players -- wide receiver Jakeem Grant, running back Kenyan Drake and quarterback David Fales -- made the most of their extended playing time in a 30-9 win over the Vikings in Thursday night's preseason finale.
Fales threw three touchdowns, including a 65-yarder to Grant, who finished with four catches and 141 receiving yards. Grant likely cemented his spot on the roster ahead of Saturday's roster cuts.
Drake scored the first touchdown of the game on a short plunge into the end zone as he finished with eight carries and 27 yards after getting the start at running back.
The Dolphins will open the regular season at home Sept. 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
