CORAL GABLES, Fla. – A pair of Miami football players has been honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference for their game-changing performances in Saturday's 25-24 win against Georgia Tech.
Hurricanes wide receiver Darrell Langham was named ACC co-receiver of the week and kicker Michael Badgley was named ACC specialist of the week, the ACC announced Monday.
Langham caught a 28-yard reception on fourth-and-10 on Miami's final drive to help set up the game-winning 24-yard field goal. He had a career-best five catches for 100 yards in the game.
Badgley was a perfect 4-for-4 on field goals, including the game-winning kick with four seconds left.
It is the second week in a row that a Miami player has been recognized by the ACC. Braxton Berrios was named ACC receiver of the week Oct. 9 for his performance in Miami's 24-20 win at rival Florida State.
No. 8 Miami (5-0, 3-0 ACC) hosts Syracuse, which knocked off then-No. 2 Clemson last Friday, this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
