Zach Thomas named Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist for second straight year

CANTON, Ohio – When Miami Dolphins fans look at Zach Thomas, they see a Hall of Famer.

This could be the year that the rest of the football world does the same.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced the 15 finalists for the Class of 2021 and the seven-time Pro Bowler is on the list.

It’s the second year in a row that Thomas has been a finalist.

During his 13-year career, Thomas racked up 1,734 tackles, 17 interceptions, 20.5 sacks and 14 forced fumbles.

The Hall of Fame Class of 2021 is expected to be announced on the eve of the Super Bowl, as is traditionally the case.

Super Bowl LV is Sunday, Feb. 7 in Tampa.
